Replace Rear final drive, correct part no.?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

The bearings in the rear final drive are dead and I need to replace the final drive.

I'm thinking of buying a refurbished rear drive on Ebay and replace it my self.

It seems the part no. is 0CQ525010 with different letters at the end.
Can any one help me with finding the correct part no for my car?

Thanks

The letters at the end denotes the revision of the part. Get the highest letter you can - e.g. C at the end of the part would denote it's the third revision of that item; G would denote it's the 7th revision etc.

^ Not a safe suggestion. There's more to it than that.

I wrote a warning thread about this with just one counter-example. There are many, many others:

If @PrepsDK would like to share the VIN with me, I can look up the suggested part number.

That has always been how I thoucht it was, but when researching for the correct Drive it seemed that only specific drive would fit

Thanks I really appreciate the help.

Do you happen to know if my control unit would work with either?

I would think so, yes.
