Superb infotainment faults

Featured Replies

Hi. 2013 superb estate. Was on holiday for 2 weeks, upon returning the infotainment centre started switching on and off randomly. The screen goes black and a repetitive thump plays through the speakers. The only way to stop it is to remove the fuse. Thinking it was a fault within the unit I tried fitting a cheap android unit and it does much the same initially and then stopped altogether. I then thought perhaps an external amplifier issue but can’t locate one on this car. Tried under the front seats but no sign. Any clues would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Initially I thought perhaps low battery voltage from lying unused for a fortnight, but the car has now covered about 70 miles of mixed driving.

Checked for power at connector block. Two permanent 12v feeds.Good earth. Beginning to think I have just been unlucky with the replacement android head and I now have 2 faulty head units.
