2020 Mk4 with gremlins - Help please!

Featured Replies

Hi All,

New to posting so apologies if this is in the wrong place.

I have brought a 2020 Mk4, drives lovely and very happy with everything apart from 3 little things - - Primary User, Firmware and the SOS pop pop.

The latter - the SOS issue, I understand from looking around on here that it will need to visit the main agent to have some update applied. However I also have an issue with not being able to set the primary user - Whenever I try to login on the cars screen, it says error loading profile. This may or may not be related to my firmware - 1805. I have tried to update this, ideally to 1896 however I cannot find a download link for this - - first massive ask is if anyone does have the link for this, could you please throw it my direction - I did try to install 1941 - however the car stated the firmware I was trying to install was an earlier version than the 1805 firmware (confused me!) - I was hoping if I could fix the firmware and bring up to date, this may in turn fix the primary user issue. The only other thing of note, when I connect my phone to the car, it does show an app with the Skoda logo and "Cupra" underneath it - to the best of my knowledge, Seat software wouldnt work on a Skoda, so im not sure whats going on - I dont get any OTA updates and dont know where to start, so im throwing myself at the mercy of you lovely members to help if you can.

Thanks in advance.
