2013 Elegance. After first purchase it always took at least 20 seconds before the washers and wipers functioned. In addition, stopping abruptly often parked the wipers mid-wipe.

I thought this was a bonkers VAG firmware system but it turned out simply to be the bonnet latch inhibitor switch which prevents the washers and wipers when the bonnet is open. The cure was simply to unplug the connector, the inhibit is on when the switch is closed so there's no need for it at all. Cheaper than buying a new latch and switch.

RTFM

I don't have an original English manual, what I do have is a limited version, Czech to German to English. A number of things in the "2013" manual don't apply or are incorrect so "RTFM"is unhelpful.

Got to ask the question ... why are you using a multiple translated handbook (and likely not the correct one) for your Yeti instead of just downloading the correct one (using the vin) from Skoda UK, upshot .... correct handbook for the car., save a lot of anguish and it will have the correct operating information for your model year of Yeti 😕
