How can i update my software

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I have a 2021 Škoda Octavia and I’m currently running software version 1788. I’d like to update to a newer version, but I’ve run into a couple of issues:

  1. I’m unable to become the primary user of the vehicle, which means I can’t access OTA (over-the-air) updates.

  2. I also can’t connect the car to the MyŠkoda app, which further limits my options.

I visited my local Škoda dealer for assistance, but they told me to contact support at [email protected]. Unfortunately, support just referred me back to the dealer — so I’m stuck in a loop with no clear solution.

Has anyone else faced similar issues or found a way to solve them? I’d really appreciate any help with either getting the software updated or becoming the primary user.

Thanks in advance!IMG_2429.jpeg

To which software version can i update from 1788?

18XX after tust, 1969 then 1985

In fact, it downloads the files to be put on a USB stick. Everything is clearly explained in the thread I posted.

As mentioned above, try using a 18xx version before flashing the infotainment system to 1941.
