So just done a trip from Portsmouth to Cumbria and back via Forest Of Dean. Just over 900miles in total.

Car was fine of the way up. Unfortunately when leaving Cumbria the car came up with an error on screen. ‘Gearbox in emergency mode. No reverse gear’

I got the car to a services and pulled over. Turn the car off and on again and no trouble all the way down to Forest Of Dean. I was down there a couple days and the car was no issue. So on the day to head back to Portsmouth about an hour in I got the same error, so pulled over and restarted, the error went away, but only briefly, this happened at least another 7-8 times.

I got it home eventually, and my brother in law scanned the car for me, it came up with the following code, anyone got experience with this code?

P173600 - Position sensor for clutch 2 Electrical Error.

On. 68 plate Octavia VRS estate auto diesel.

Once I turn the car off and on again I have all gears until the error reoccurs. Could be with a couple minutes or an hour
