If you loved your Mk3 Octavia Estate....

Featured Replies

If you loved your Mk3 Octavia Estate 2014 and did not wish to get rid of it, and money was no object (okay, it is, but for this question, it is not) What modifications would you make to it please? I have not mentioned what features I have because I am interested in what modifications others would make.

Many thanks,

Swap the 1.4TSI manual to a 2.0TSI DSG vRS!

Everything else was just cosmetics - tweaking the lighting Leuchte channels, adding better door lights, etc.

Have a bigger fuel tank would be my go-to ... (50L for the RS230 is small to get decent range ...)

The only mod I did is changing the RARB to go to Golf TCR, cheap and effective way to control leaning in corners.

Induction, ECU/TCU tune, stiffer RARB and some stiffer rear springs. I'd also like to look at the exhaust and change the tyre/wheel sizes (coming soon...).

Our 2014 1.4tsi Octavia wagon has only done 117K km but with a lot of very short slow local journeys.

Although it still drives very nicely, I feel that fuel consumption is slightly down from when it was brand new.

All I really want to do on mine is to get a camera inspection of the inlet valves to see if carbon buildup is to blame and whether some remedial action is required.

Do still love the car though and it is now irreplaceable as Skoda no longer sell a manual in Australia.

I still love my manual 2015 1.4, wouldn't change anything apart from wishing I had specced ACC and possibly, heated windscreen.

I have a 2014 'Black Edition' estate, 1.6TDi, manual.

I'm currently swapping out the seats - half-leather Superb Mk3 seats in the front and a half-leather Octavia rear seat.
Considering getting a stage 1 remap.

Might wire in an extra 12v socket for the passengers in the back.
And of course the most important upgrade - I'm waiting on an AliExpress delivery, going to swap the bloody chrome trim around the front grille for a black one...

A bigger engine and an automatic gearbox would be nice, but I might as well just buy another car in that case.
