Hi all.. new here, been lingering and reading for a while and now proudly own a 2021 iV SEL. What a wagon! Really chuffed with it.

It took me a while to find one in budget that wasn’t a million miles away but we got there in the end.

The car I found had one option missing that I’d really like to have - a reverse camera to aid visibility backing out of our tight and blind driveway. I expected it would be easy enough to retrofit one. Alas, here I am. Donning cap in hand. Seeking assistance from fellow Briskodians.

So, 2021 iV SEL. All the basic options nothing extra. Retrofitting a RVC.

I’ve wired it up and the CAN sees it. But I cannot get the thing coded in with VCDS. I had a retrofit expert take a look and he advised the camera I have isn’t compatible with MIB3.

Has anyone retrofitted RVC to these models? Can anyone point me towards a compatible camera or offer any advice?

It seems there’s some updates with the facelift that makes the normal 2015+ cameras incompatible.

Driver's door and hood open? Electric parking brake engaged?

I didn’t know these were requirements - was just reading up on firewall and SFD.
