Hi just bought 2017 kodiaq 150 bhp 4x4 and want to fit towbar and getting conflicting information about towbar,so my question is can a towbar be fitted

Not completely definitive, but if your load plate has a total train weight substantially higher than the actual vehicle weight, yes it can.

What spec is it... The 7 seat manual tdi150s from 2017 and 2018 weren't homologated for towing as far as I remember.

Check the weight data plate on the lower part of the B pillar.

If a DSG automatic then yes, if a manual then physically probably but you'd be uninsured and not road legal.

Ours is a 2017, 4x4 15, DSG 7 seater and it can tow. If you have a single sheet of A4 paper with the car, called an EU Certificate of Conformity, that will tell you beyond all question. Field 18.3 is the maximum weight of braked trailer it can tow. Field 18.4 is the maximum weight of unbaked trailer it can tow.
