New Octy vRS badges

Featured Replies

Don't know if this applies to the 06 version of the Octy vRS, but my 07 version's vRS badge (at the rear, at least) doesn't have painted colour sections - they're stuck on!!!

Noticed it earlier today, 'cos a corner of the black "RS" bit wasn't stuck down properly. Anyone have any idea if paint's readily available to rectify this?!?

Tell your dealer to order you a new set

I know what you mean, part of the 'green' bit on mine is missing although you wouldn't notice so havn't bothered about changing it.

Kinda thinking the same thing, until it comes off completely! It's only a REALLY minor point on what is an absolutely FANTASTIC car.

However, I'm sure the Fab vRS had painted colour bits...

Perhaps tonight!

Its how skoda saves money. Every little helps - ver Tesco-esque!

just had a closer look at mine actually and they are stickers also........

they are stickers but unlike the old rs badges there reflective and look realy good when the light catches them !!!

:wrthless:

Sweet! But it does feel a bit cost-saving...I'd've preferred to keep the painted look.

OK - photos. Apologies if too large!

Looks like its lifting alright. I wonder would it be possible to buy just the stickers ?

What about giving it a short blast of a hairdryer to see if it might stick.

Are those reflective? mine look more reflective than those ones, might not show in the picture though?

Mine have a reflective glaze to them, don't look the same as that!. Will post up a piccy later if I remember.

Didn't notice if they were reflective. Might not be - is yours an 06 model??

I was thinking of leaving the badges until the stickers came off completely (if they do at all) and painting them with some suitable paint afterwards. But thinking about it last night, it might be difficult whilst they're still stuck on the car!

The alternative is to buy some new ones, pre-paint them now and take the old ones off when they look crappy. But that involves debadging and therefore a bit chavvy :)

yep mines a 06 model.

Ah! Mine's an 07 - perhaps that's another 07 spec change???

There are more Ch@vs about here than I ever thought then !!!

Interesting opinion that: 'You're a **** if you 'de-badge' your car!!'

Hilarious!! :orb_lol:

It's the look that does it. Chavved Corsas and Saxos tend to not have badges on!

If you're proud of your motor (and I am!) then why would you want to "anonymise" it by taking the badges off???

Just a personal opinion. Mind you, I did "re-badge" the missus's Arosa, but only the way Seat ended up doing it for all their cars! :D

I agree with your point that you should not remove badges. Mine are staying well and truly stuck. BUT to call people C.h.a.v.s because they have removed their badge or badges is a rather narrow minded view

They only tend to de-badge their motors when they are running something slow with a tin can exhaust.

or when you get your badges nicked like mine on my old RS

My mates' BMW 535D M- Sport Touring is 'debadged'. He wont be impressed at being told he's a c.h.a.v!!

Then you're a c.h.a.v . It has no badges!!!
