Reverse light wiring route?

Featured Replies

Hello.

I have a 2012 Fabia. The left reverse light works, but the right one isn't getting the signal voltage. Can anyone tell me where the two runs meet, so I can check that connector? The wiring diagrams in my Haynes manual aren't helping as they only show the right reverse bulb powered by the reverse switch, and not the left.

Thanks.

I thought they only had one on the left with fog on the right. Maybe someone has fitted a new rear light from a rhd car from autodoc etc. Are there actual wires going to the reverse bulb?

I have only ever seen fabias with a single reverse light, including my 2013 fabia.

If yours do infact have two Reverse lights (if theres a white part on both lights housing. Instead of being red on one side). I immagine that light wiring would follow the lighting to the rest of the lights. Right side lights along right side of floor. Under side the panels below the doors, winding under the front seats and from there finding their way up the APillar and to the what id immagine being the BCU.,

And same on other side. Ofc.

That's weird. It never occured to me there might only be one reverse light. But my clusters do have white on both sides, which is why I expected to find two reverse lights. But if it's normal and allowed to have just one reverse light, it's probably not worth me pulling panels apart to find a connector.

Thanks for the response.

Reckon its been a replacement lens from as LHD vehicle unless its an optional extra. If you have one on the left and a fog light on right you should be ok. Chances are if its wired in you would probably get a bulb warning light unless car has been told there are two.
