Part number confusion.......again

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm after some help with up to date part numbers for my front brake pads.

It's a 2018 Superb 2.0 tdi with the CRLB engine. It's finally worn out its original pads (only 55k on clock). The part number on the pads is 5Q0 615 115 AH.

I'm trying to cross reference Brembo pads, but everywhere I look including etka shows me the pads are 5Q0 698 151 AH.

Does anyone know if the 5Q0 615 115 AH number has been superseded with a new number?

Looking on the Brembo website it shows P 85 126 pads that seem to be the right size, the OE reference for those is 5Q0 698 151 AH.

The below thread a year or so ago shows the 151 AH number

I'm also assuming the discs are 312mm 5Q0615301F

VIN is TMBBH7NP2J7509838

All Superb MK3 models use the same 312x25mm front brake discs with TRW front brake calipers, except for the 272PS/280PS 4x4 models that use the bigger 340x30mm front brake discs.

You can use any of the below three OEM part numbers because they all lead to the same aftermarket front brake pads.

Brembo brake pads often don't do well in tests. ATE, TRW, Ferodo, Jurid, etc. are generally better. EBC DPX2150 are another good front brake pad which are available on ebay for about £60. However, TRW GDB1956 are available for about £33 including shipping to the UK on the German version of Amazon.

You may find this is the part number of an individual pad. Are all four pads this same number?

Pads are sold as an axle set, under a different number, as you've found.

Hi,

Pay attention, that an axle set doesn't contain 4 identical brake pads. Inner and outer pads are different.😉
