Start stop error and now more

Featured Replies

Hi folks, Fabia Monte Carlo Estate 2019 110tsi such a practical car and been our friend since 2019, 88k miles.

There were stop-start errors on the vehicle status screen a couple of months ago and the local garage had a look and cleaned a few things.

Its happened again on and off, every few days in the last couple of weeks. The car loses power and when idling the rev counter is moving up and down around 1,000 revs. But more often than not its ok.

This morning it looks like its got much worse with a strange image coming up on the vehicle status screen, attached.

Any ideas? We will be off to the local garage anyway.

Cheers. Dave

It looks a bit like a fuel tank.

Expect possible fault codes to do with fuel or EVAP system.

Pop the bonnet and look for leaking fuel.

No smoking!

wow! It's in the local garage now. They'd looked at it before and done the diagnostics etc......I'll see what they come up with and report back. The thing is that it's been intermittent juddering and stop start errors every few days and then all of a sudden it's got far worse..........I don't smoke any more ;-)

garage said it was a faulty ignition coil, replaced all three and its driving much better, think the car had been slowly losing power for a while, one of them had failed....think they said it was corroded........I'll report back in a couple of months
