Hi, i just bought superb 2021 plug in hybrid.

I got it delivered, on a spec list there is no clear indication that do I have reverse camera or not.

To the point, on a tailgate I can see camera, but when car is on reverse I only have reverse assistant.

I checked setting and can see nothing related to canera

The questions are:

There is camera but not working?

What is see on a tailgate is just for reverse assistant and not actual camera?

The camera is integrated with the handle to open the tailgate.

Reversing sensors are mounted in the bumper.

If it has a camera in the handle and it isn’t working something is wrong. Do you have a warranty? If you do take the car back to the person you bought it from and get it fixed.

If it turns out you don’t have a camera there is a really good plug and play option available from AliExpress for around £40 that is quite easy to DIY install

There is a camera, just above plates. I already messaged them.

Ok. Well it should be up to them to fix it. Not sure how it works being so far away. If a main dealer they may let you take it to a more local one as it would be a Škoda warranty.

According to manual no. It should come on automatically. If you have the button on the screen circled in red this should turn on the camera.

Did you hear back from the dealer on this at all?

Kind of, I got Cinch servicemen came and checked reverse camera and wing mirrors control unit, he confirmed that above are faulty and now I wait for them to come back.

Ah ok. Hopefully they can fix under warranty. I suspect it may be an aftermarket camera and if so may not be covered. There are some very good cheap aftermarket cameras which are quite easy to fit so if they won’t replace it there are options. Some good guides on here of how to fit.

Tbh, I hope they will change it, as that was the way car came to me. I notified them right away, so that is fault on their side.

I do know for a future now, that having car delivered is not always good option
