2025 Superb sportline wagon - rollback on inclines

Featured Replies

Hello all

I recently purchased a superb 2025 sporrline wagon.

Generally the car is great but it has an annoying habit of rolling back a few inches when starting from even the smallest incline.
I took it to the dealer to check it out and i got a superb sportline sedan as a loan car and it did the same thing.

has anyone else experienced this?

TIA

Do you have “auto hold” activated? As that stops this happening on my 2025 wagon SE L?

hi john
that was mine and the dealers first thought only to find that the auto hold option is not available.
its very frustrating because im an 'assertive' driver and sometimes i need/want to sink the boot and i dont want to stuff the trans up.
i send an email to skoda australia only to be met with a dismissive response along the lines of tough luck thats the nature of the beast without even addressing the issue.

@frankdonato You do not say you have a DSG but you have another post about paddles. So it it a DSG with an e-brake but you say there is no 'option' to enable the Autohold?

hey evo

this model does shave the DSG.
To mine and the dealers surprise there is no autohold option in the infotainment.
The doco from skoda is scant at best and skoda AU's response has been far from useful other than a "thats the nature of the beast tough luck" type of response.
I purchased a karoq sportline for the wife and it does not have this rollback issue.

Not sure if this is relevant to your particular problem but I found this note in the on-line manual…

Automatic deactivation

The parking brake is automatically switched off when you drive off.

If you want to prevent it from switching off automatically, e.g. when starting uphill, hold the button down.”

Doesn’t it briefly auto hold anyway after the brakes are released
