First ever race

Featured Replies

My friend an I did our first sprint at MIRA on Saturday, all I can say is fantastic.

Our car (205 GTI 1.9) performed brilliantly and I can't wait for the next one now.

Out of 7 cars in the class I managed to finish 4th:) .

Top day, well organised and a great track, the surface is amazingly grippy.

Arre the MIRA events open to the public to spectate? Its about 5 mins down the road from where I'm sta at the moment - never realised they held events down there.

Bit of a funny one that.

We were sent 3 tickets each and told one each for the driver and the others to hand out to family/mehcanics etc.

We had 8 people we wanted to come but only enough for 6 so turned my mum and a friend away.

When we got there not one of us was asked to show an entry ticket........bit miffed about that really.

So in conclusion your guess is as good as mine, one day they may check, others they may not.

VERY strict about cameras and mobiles with cameras..........basically you will be ejected if seen with one.

I'm hoping to go again in mid-september

Sounds interesting. Seeing as its so close, perhaps I could try my luck next time - when is the next one ?
