Mk4 Octavia VRs adjustable armrest

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just some advice, I have recently purchased a used Mk4 octavia VRs 71 plate. The front arm rest slides forward and backwards but doesn't stay up at an elevated position. Just falls back down to the lowest point. The dealership told me skoda don't fit the height adjustable arm rests anymore yet in the user manual it shows you how to adjust the height. Am I being lied to or are they telling the truth does anyone know?

My 70 plate (2020) SE L FE has an adjustable height armrest. Lift to its highest point and it drops down all the way; lift to intermediate points and it stays there.

Also slides back and forth as you describe.

Thanks, I have spoken to Skoda themselves and 4 dealers and all say that the height adjustable arm rest is standard so looks like the dealer have tried fobbing me off.

I'm waiting to hear back from them after giving them my findings

It’s standard, your dealer is full of it

I thought as much, they are still trying to stick to their narrative currently

If it's convenient, you could get another dealer to fix the armrest and also let Skoda UK know about your original dealer's lack of competence.

I could but apparently they are £350 for a new unit and as I've only had the car for 3 days I refuse to pay for something that was broken when they sold it to me.

Thanks for the advice everyone, im pleased to say the dealer had the car back and have fixed the arm rest, luckily the service department knew more than sales. The armrest now works as it should
