Squeaky internal door handle

Featured Replies

As the title reads, this door handle squeaks a lot when driving due to my knee resting on it. Anyone else has this same issue? And any potential fix?

Ive tried to adjust it already to see if maybe a clip needed to go in somewhere but it keeps on squeaking.

Any help will be appreciated!

I assume you mean the door pull ? It bugged me, my previous Octavia and my wife's Fabia's door pull were (and are) rock solid with no squeaks.I even tried packing the hollow parts of the door pulls with foam. Made a little bit of difference. Then I tried teflon spray on all the touching surfaces.Much better. Not perfect, but I can live with it.

Yes the door pull is what i meant, good to hear that teflon spray helped! I was going to try that as well, just did not want to mess with the interior. Thanks for the response!

Take the handle cover off, spray it with krytox or silicone spray and it will be quiet.

Awesome, any screws i need to be aware of taking it off? Is it just held in place with clips?

Check out the video, just clips. Very easy to take off, in my case it helped a lot to reduce the squeaking noise.

Which Krytox product do you recommend?

I found silicone spray just OK. Squeaks came back quickly.Anyone used Krytox ?, would want to be a lot better than teflon spray for the money.

Took the panel off yesterday and sprayed all contact points with some silicone spray - made the squeaking way less, however; i found out that the window control panel is also squeaking a lot. So i sprayed that in too, lets see how long this goes ok!

So,yes you are right. Its also possible that the window switch trim is squeaking.

For this case take the handle cover off an spray into these little holes. There are the clips of the window switch trims which are causing the noise..

If the silicone effect is not that long try the skoda krytox spray or lubricant for cars for a much longer effect

„Krytox“ just Game Changer. How long it will last, we will see…

For the window switches, you can just clip the hole assembly out. Then spray the contact surfaces between the switch assembly and the door and 🤫
