Disable movement sensor

Featured Replies

Locking the car normally I see that the drivers door indication flashes at intervals continuously.  To disable the movement sensor I double click the fob button and I notice it flashes quickly a few times then goes out then, after about 5min it then flashes at about once per second.

There is a reference to this in the handbook but to me it is not clear.  At the end of the month we will be doing the 30 hour Santander crossing and I would not like the alarm going off for that time!  Are my observations correct? I note that there is also a dismovement sensor in the setting on the dash display, is this the same as the double click? Karoq, 1.5 Sportsline, Aug 2025

I read the handbook yet again and it seems that the function to deactivate is the called the SAFE function.

Double click switches off movement and tilt sensors. That's what you do when travelling on ferries.

Plus it also disables the door deadlocks in the event that passengers remain in the vehicle while it is locked.
