Annoying Android Auto behaviour via dongle

Featured Replies

Hi fam,

i got a gen 3 Octavia, pre-FL, with a Mib2 unit that has been patched and without component protection. No issues of sort. Android auto works with this particular dongle (changed it recently as this one is much smaller and takes no room at all) but often i have to either remove the dongle itself for a few seconds and reinsert or restart the head unit altogether. Generally this happens after the car has been shut off for some time. It's very annoying and i am not sure whether it's the dongle itself or what. Thoughts?

Which HW & SW Version have the mib 2 Unit?

yes same here.

I have 2 different dongles and they react the same when left plugged in.

Ony workaroung I found is unplug them when I get out.

Then coming back, wait for the phone to connect to the car BT then plug the dongle back.

My second dongle is carplay/android auto, when used on carplay, no issues, it only happens with AA

I have to check but being patched i CANNOT change it anyways, as this will render it unusable.
