Sons ABS one cracked but couldn't see it until removed when it broke in two. He had random brake/ABS warning once car was warm so I assume the heat expanded crack. I removed them all as his were slightly coroded and cleaned up terminals and fuses.

Wonder if the charger you were using is faulty and drawing more power than usual or its due to dirty contacts in socket?

Had exactly the same on our 2006 Fabia

ABS warning light would come on intermittently

It was throwing an error code
turned out to be a hairline crack in the ABS fuse
NOW got an intermittently problem with the power steering so thinking I need to replace THAT fuse too
The car is 20 years old after all
