Thanks good to know...

I will email the service manager at my local garage and see if he gives the same feedback but I guess it's the mostly likely answer....

Agreed, it's starting to get a little annoying now...

It'll be interesting if they say the same as others have been told,

Keep us posted.

A couple of days ago, I had a new update for the Shop application.

This new update seems to have changed the version number and since then I've not had any new requests for "application updates" so far....

The new shop application version is:

3.15.1-336.321

Previously I had the update repeatedly for:

3.15.1-334.320

Fingers crossed this is the update that fixes this issue....

Gabbo

Thanks!

How / where can you see this updates references?

Open the shop application from the main menu.

Wait for it to load & then click the settings icon (bottom right).

At the last screen click information...

It displays the shop application version

Hi,

This is the version I currently have. Thanks for explaining how to find it. 🙂

I´ll check for the rest of the week, but I fear the MMI of my Kodiaq Mk1 still downloads repeatedly the same updates… 🫤

Our kodiaq is going the same.

I need to book it in for the bcm recall so I’ll ask Skoda about it then.

Mine still doing the "applications" every day after 10 weeks!! Yesterday it was in notifications but hadn't given me the prompt to install it, started the install which was still happening 15 minutes later when I got home and turned the engine off. Checked this morning and on notifications there was 3 installed notifications.

Be interesting if the update comes back again today, not holding my breath!!

Going to a VAG specialist tomorrow to drop my Misses Seat Ibiza in and I ask them what they know about it.

I hear your pain!! It definitely getting very frustrating now!!

The update didn't trigger immediately when you start the car.

You need to come to a stop for some seconds (like at a traffic light) and probably the previous days I didn't need to stop on my journey to work...

I had exactly the same, there's was no onscreen prompt like there had been, it was in notifications waiting for the install to be started. It took ages, and then this morning there was confirmations the installs had completed, when normally the infotainment page would have been empty! Like I said, not holding my breath!!

Still the same updates. 😑

Will wait for another version 🤞update and hope it fixes this...

I have had this same issue for a couple of months. Car was in Edinburgh dealer last week and asked them to look at it before the warranty runs out next week. They kept it for whole day and then told me they need more time to look at it so needs to go back another day. Not sure if they just didn’t allocate enough time or whether they just don’t know how to fix it.

Thought I'd let you know that finally, hopefully, without talking too soon!🤞, my infotainment updates seems to be sorted, at the start of last week I had a huge system update that took a combination of 4 20 minute journeys to download, and then could only update whilst the engine was off, after that updated I got a notification that there was 3 updates, all were the original updates I'd had 3 months ago, even though it was only the application one that kept repeating daily, they were "successfully" completed last thursday, although 1 did require me to lock my car for a minute!🤷‍♂️ but since then I've haven't had the daily applications update message that I'd been getting.

So it would appear to address this issue Skoda have had to send out a huge system update just to install 3 small update, well thats what I hoping.

The new 0334 update solves the Updates issue and also solves Wireless Android Auto connection and audio drop issues and slow response in CarPlay

I had the same message as yesman yesterday when I pulled up for a doctor's appointment, though I didn't have time to read it properly before everything was switched off. No further messages came up on the short journey home. I'm not using the car much at the moment as we're having a new bathroom and cloakroom fitted, so it'll be interesting to find out in due course if it's finally fixed.

I have the new 0334 update installed 2 days ago & this morning I had another popup for "application updates"....

I clicked ok so let's see if it comes back again or if it is really fixed now.

I'm not convinced it is really resolved by 0334 infotainment update...

Hi,

I'll check if I have 0334 version too, but I had the same updates twice today. 🙄

A bit irritating in the end...

This afternoon I had 7 updates, all for different things like 'background digital services", "application updater" etc

Shop was also updated to a new version 338.322...

So it does seem that 0334 is an enabler to release the next round of updates.

Let's see in a few days, hopefully the constant updates will stop.

I had a reply back from my dealer and he confirmed that the new 0334 OTA update would fix the problem.

Looks like update 0334 is the answer, as all I can say is since I had the large system update on to software 0334 and the repeated 3 other updates I've not had the daily update prompt for over a week now.
