Front assist failure

Featured Replies

My 2021 Skoda Superb iV estate has thrown up a woanring light and a message 'front assist failure'. As a result the ACC is not working. I have checked and cleaned the areas where I think the sensor lives but it has not helped. It did the same thing a year or so ago and after a few weeks it all started working again. Also the SOS light comes on sometimes. What can I do?

Was it raining at time of warning. Has been known to upset car.

Checked behind sensor cover presume grille no webs etc on radar ?

It's difficult to diagnose without reading the fault codes.

My Octavia had the same message in the display caused by a faulty ABS sensor.

Mine did this a couple of weeks ago in torrential rain and fog. Once I was clear it reset itself and the Adaptive Active Cruise Control started working again.

Mine had the same fault the bracket that holds it had corroded and was no longer secure it meant it was moving about

Took it to a specialist who fitted a new bracket and recalibrated it
