Time to take the wife out.............to the dealers, leave the brochures around the house until she decides it would be a good time to trade in. At least that how it usually works!

Well if you left the brochures around in my house, I

 - excellent response. My SWMBO won't let me :P

Economy would be the only reason for having a diesel, IMHO.

I really dislike diesels, but I have one purely because I do 50-60k miles per year oh, and I'm tight! :D

Why would you buy that over the 2.0 t fsi? It has less power and a slower 0-60 time.....

economy?

Personally, I like the way it delivers the power, in lumps. I drive a 1.9 TDi Superb and went for a test drive in a vRS petrol. It was probably faster than the Superb, it just didn

Swedish Automotor and sport had a small test with the Seat Altea TDI 170hp.

Sorry for my bad english.

"170 hp been quieter all right, have better feedback and having above all one broader register than the 140 hp we know since priors.

The result is a clean diesel hot hatchback."

I've called all my local, and not so local, dealers. None of them have the Brochures for the vRS TDi. Where did you see them?

I've got some, PM me if you like I'll post one! Although it's the Octavia range brochure with a few extra lines of text really.

Basically:

Spec the same as petrol

Hatch £18370.00

Estate £19220.00

Both CO2 = 157 g/km

Mpg Urban 36.2

Extra Urban 61.4

Combined 48.7

Same bore and stroke and compression ratio as 140 TDi

Max speed 140/139mph hatch/estate

170bhp @ 4200rpm

350nm @ 1800rpm

hope this helps
