Came up against one of these the other day....custom code remapped oct mk1, Blue flame, forge FMIC and all the other bolt on bits.....matched exactly! bit of a surprise, they are pretty damned quick thought I would have had him though looked it up and it is listed as 231Bhp and 500Nm of torque:eek:

You should of bought a Fabia 2.0!

Thats standard. From the specs you have, i should imagine for one to be level, he may have had a map, or just been in the right gear at the right time perhaps. Either way, yes they are quick.

a remapp and fmic and exhaust on those would see 300bhp :)

330D is a great car with a lovely engine. The 535D though .... now that is a seriously quick (and very tunable) car! :D

Chris

Just driven a new BMW 535D Touring to Slovenia and back. Awesome car. Very very fast and averaged over 30mpg. We averaged over 120mph between Munich and Frankfurt!!. Top speed (On the limiter) was an indicated 158mph. Great car!!

Oh shut up loser.

I had a play with a DMS mapped 535 - rather brisk ;)

A quick reminder to everyone to keep the personal attacks/abuse out of threads.

Thanks.

but that would be boring!

Mil has everyright to call people names! Especially after the pathetic remarks they keep coming out with about his choice in car and his experiences while driving it.

 to Mil

...........but as usual he is off topic again  Back to the original discussion, I would have thought that a remapped Octy with all the bits would have thrashed one of these..........it was a straight run from 10mph or so so driver error is pretty much out of it.....it was just a lot faster ( or the octy was a lot slower ) than I expected!!!

No he hasn't.....read the forum rules.

It's not boring....you want to try moderating a site this size where everyone is having a go at each other......if we let everyone do what they like, BRISKODA wouldn't be a popular as it is.

Mil does have the right to speak his mind but he must also remember that in doing so...people have the right to speak theirs....where Mil goes wrong...and I have spoken to him about this previously...is that he "bites" to those remarks which don't agree with his own and then makes it personal.

Please let's everyone have a little perspective and common sense on such matter.

..............I give up, this is exactly why I am spending less and less time on Briskoda, it used to be a really good place for info / car related discussions, it now seems to delve into name calling, bitching and sod all discussion about the original topic!

when i was at my skoda dealer the other week i got talking to a bloke who was looking to buy an octy VRS and trade his msport, but i cant remember what msport it was.

i told him about briskoda and he said he would have a look

Wasn't a 316 with MSport badges stuck on was it? ;)

Steve

no it looked the part and was pretty new (03/04 i think) he was about 50 with his wife and was looking at the octy vrs because the seats support his bad back, which the bmw doesnt he said.

he asked about the tuning which could be done but i dont know anything about the octy so told him to get on here

That's interesting about the seats. The "Sport" seats in the BMW are some of the best I've sat in and are adjustable in just about every way :D I wasn't so taken with the SE-spec seats, although, I believe you can get "active" ones which massage you while you drive

Chris

I sat in a 330D MSport at the motorshow, and I didnt like the seats at all - I imagine they would be really supportive though if you are less than 18 stone and actually fit in them!
