So... what is "rain closing" then???

Featured Replies

Found this in the Setup/Komfort/Convienience menu, but cant' find a description of it's operation in the manual (like BIG surprise !;) )

I am guessing that it's to close the windows if it rains, but there's been no rain to test it with. Not a common UK problem.

damp spounge, wrung out over the screen wher eth erain sensor is ;)

Well, I tried a serious blast with the washers, but perhaps it's a bit clever on that one...

Will dance for rain or try the sponge and report back then :)

Is it for if you leave it parked with the windows down?

you can have some rain if you like! i have plenty down here ill post some up;)

Well, tipping water over the sensor activates the automagic wipers, but the windows stay down...

Will try with the keys out and with the doors locked to see if any change.

Perhaps it's not for the windows at all, maybe it's a sunroof option (but I am not getting one fitted just to check!!)

Ian

This link suggests that it's just for the sunroof on the MkV Golf....

Chris

Thats a cool feature...has anyone ever got it to work ?

It's only associated with the sunroof which is probably only fitted to about 0.05% of Octy II's sold. Could it be that there is a separate rain sensor on the sunroof itself.

I have a sunroof but not the car at present! Will try when I get it back!!!!

I think it also shuts your windows after a few hours, irrespective of whether it's raining or not! Apparantly
