miles per tank. furby vrs

Yes the Scottish Highlands can give you super mpg figures like the one in the attachment (66.9). It went down 0.1mpg when I reversed into the driveway. My Dad once achieved 70mpg in the TDi octavia along a m-way at 55mph! Although my car is not a vRS I can get high 40's, low 50's everytime I go out. Range is usually 470-500 miles. I usually cram as much fuel as I can get into the tank though.

I know were talking about diesels here but I thought you would like to know I got 51 mpg out of my 1.4 16v Furby, and I wasn't driving like a granny, 70-75 mph on the motorway and 60-65 mph on the little country lanes of east anglia, (mainly flat roads) how the hell it happened I dont know but I average 40-45 mpg now!!!

My old Octy estate, gave me 69 MPG on a run to and from Devon, fully loaded with peeps and luggage.

My Superb is improving, and on a run is giving 50-55.

Year I borrowed a Superb 130 PD from work. Stuck it on the cruise control and from new it was getting aroung 55mpg and after I put 600 miles on the clock I was getting 60 mpg. I filled up before I left had fuel left over. I drove al the way to Durham and back, I did scuff an alloy though so the money I saved on fuel I lost fixing that :bawl: .
