which engine is best/reliable in the fabia ?

Featured Replies

There is an OCTY SDI up here done 387k now, it is immaculate and runs perfect

It is serviced when due and oil changed between services,

It is a 24hr taxi run 24/24

The salesman bragged then showed me it as it was in getting serviced

then the owner arrrived and gave me a free run back to town

I think it was then I made my mind up to own a Skoda

(I had a company 206swd and knew I was going to quit in a couple of months and would need my own transport so was muching around dealers)

To achieve the above would be a dream, though to be realistic by the time a regular driver achieved that mileage I expect the bodywork and the rest would have collapsed (just guessing that)

OT I bought a Fabia comfort 1.9tdi, and it is IMHO very good Just never having to actually pay for tyres before has me stunned

I was only saying that after reading much 2.0 litre abuse threads recently. ;):D

Really' date=' all engines should go to 200k with little worry and lots of care, I would just expect a TDI to go on 50% more. Cast iron block, etc. :)[/quote']

the 2 litre has a cask iron block as well. there's no reason why any vw engine cant go on well over 250k if they are services regularly.

p.s not including the skoda engines (they are $hite)
