Ugly   Better than staring at 4 coil packs!!!!

No stumbling block! Just use the the cable clutch conversion piece from a Seat Ibiza 2.0 16V Cupra Sport (ABF engine code) it goes where the hydraulic actuator would go but is cable operated. Then you need a Mk2 Golf 1.3 Clutch cable and bobs your uncle!!!

Thats how I did mine in my Mk2 Golf GTI!

Thing is I think the cable operated clutch is a big downfall of the Polo. The clutch is heavy (to the point where it usually snaps the pedal box) and would love to convert it. I have done it before using a MK4 Golf clutch pedal box, just needs a bit of bulkhead fabrication.

I know where you're coming from, but transplanting a pedal box, I can forsee being a bit of a nightmare, at least VW help you out with a dealer orderable part :D

What crazy thing are you planning in yours???

Lord knows if it will ever actually happen but I would like a 1.8T in there. Trouble is even for the money it would cost me I could probably find something with a 1.8T in it that will ultimately be a fair bit safer..lol

Did you make a full diary of the transplant??

If I had the money to do it as a second car then theres no question. but when its my daily runner and needs to get me back and fowards to work etc then its a different matter.

True, but there are others on briskoda with an engine transplant / modded to very high standard and they use it for day-to-day commuting. Hey, they aren't even mechanics and it cost them a lot more than
