Presumably that's an Inspector Clouseau 'bomb'?

I do hope the insurance company know about the mods ;)

Read the owners manual about the trip computer etc... Will save you asking stupid questions ;)

I did plan to have the owners manual as my bed time reading last night, but I was too tired after driving it until 2am:D ! I think I have turned the map off so it is should be back to normal other than the springs and the air sucking thing. I might have been being a bit over enthusastic with my jump from 60bhp Vlad to 180bhp vRS.

Do I need to tell the insurance company that I have turned it off?

Another stupid question, why is there no 100mph on my speedo? It goes straight from 90 to 110mph. If it was a peugeot I would assume it was a typing error from some p1ssed off coventry employee about to loose his job, but surely not on a real car?

I can only appologies in advance to all the people I am going to bore at the BBQ asking what the buttons do. As I drive it questions explode into my head, if I could I would write them down.

It is well strange, there is a 50mph road that I have to travel on lots and lots that leads to my house. I normally go about 50mph in Vlad, but last night I did 65mph without knowing it! In Vlad you can feel every mile per hour as the car feels so unsafe, but this car you don't know. It is a bit of a learning curve!

Depends if it has reverted to the factory map, or a non-standard map ;) They'll want to know about the springs and the sucky thing though :P

ooh, i can vouch for that, i was still online then. she's not as crouchy as me at 2am though. LOL

I think 180 bhp is enough for my limited driving ability.

74 is the limit for mine :(

Wanna let me drive yours at the weekend? :D

I'll let you try mine if I can play with yours.

Emily - just tell the insurance company about the remap, springs and "sucky thing" and pay the premium - please.

Glad you are enjoying it - he he...

Glad you got it :)

Be carefull

If it's an AMD one-click and its turned off you dont have to tell them. If its a Revo you do as the Revo "stock" map isnt actually the factory map.

EE, don't think you'd like mine, it's terribly slow :(

Would like a go in your rocketship though :D

Indeed. It's soooooo slow that it needs 6 gears just to get it moving :( ;)

Luck that it has so little power, I'd probably be able to spin it if it had more

Check the mph gradations on the speedo also, so you're not going faster than you think when the needle moves round. (Edit: Sorry if this is already what you're referring to.)

Mo

It's no problem as you're obviously never going to exceed 70mpg :rofl: rofl:

Glad you're liking the VRS. As others have said the smile probably won't go away, at least mine hasn't yet. I'm still like this :D on every journey!

It's so easy to speed when you've come from a lower bhp, but I'm guessing that Talex thing is a camera detector? But aside from getting a ticket please be careful for yourself and others. I still have near misses every time I drive mine :o

I take it thats a joke?? If not then imo you should stop driving before you die!

Vlad has not gone anywhere yet! He is still in my drive, not sure what is going to happen but I won't scrap him.

not scrapping him.... giving him a makeover arnt we!!! with tape and spray paint!!:D:cool:

It's OK, I think Pixi insisted on the amphibious model :boat:

Knowing the Pixster it was probably a tad tounge in cheek :D

On another note I had a Burger King at Knutsford Services a couple of weeks ago - small world eh?

:shhh: See earlier thread - I reckon there's a plan afoot with the fertiliser to have grow lots of mini Vlads.

It's at times like this that I wish I'd never read The Day of the Triffids.

*hides*

if it wasnt for vlad.....

I know - a few years ago, you took me for a spin. And that's a most unfortunate selection of words as you tried really hard, but failed, which I hate to admit I thought was quite surprising considering your expert driving skills acquired thanks to such a slow moving vehicle ;)

Em, please do be careful though - two of us have already reshaped the roof of them - they are deceptively quick in a straight line, and the handling doesn't quite match the grunt they give, although admittedly, you have already had a slight improvement with the springs...
