Furby vRS Options

Featured Replies

My wife is about to order her new vRS and we're wondering which options to go for:confused:   ??

We'd be interested what everyone's opinions are?!?

She'd like leather but not at Skoda UK prices so Seat Surgeons may be getting a call soon:D :D :D !!!

Thanks for any replies:thumbup:  !!

Cruise control and Airbag deactivation for sure. If you are considering Leather then Heated seats are a nice idea.

I don't rate the sunroof and xenon's are ok but not fantastic.

Then of course there is the colour which could spark a whole new debate but as long as it's black you'll be fine.

ESP , cruise and xenons

Youget esp as standard dont you?

No you get Traction control not Stability program, it's about £500 IIRC.

Just metallic paint if you are using your head. Whatever you want if you are using your heart.

If you're going to get leather at some point in the future, get heated seats as a factory fit option. You'll thank me come winter time ;) Other than that, anything which will make the car more desirable come selling time will be money well spent, eg xenons, cruise control, metallic paint :D

Chris

Heated seats are a must

Absolutely agree. Cruise control really is worth the money as well, I use it all the time. :)

cruise for sure.

one of the best value options at 125 quid.

I like the extra ventilation of the tilted sunroof, and I went for cruise control too.

Sunroof improves the ventilation and brightens the interior;

Xenons make night driving a joy;

Heated seats underneath leather is a waste of time: the leather is so thick it takes ages for the heat to get through, by which time your bum has done the job anyway.

Cruise is a must.

ESP , cruise and xenons

Agreed.

People have different opinions about Xenons. I love mine to bits and they will be on every future car I own as will Cruise. ESP is also worth the #500 odd quid, it won't help you defy Physics but it will sure feel like it :)

Cruise control and Airbag deactivation for sure.

I wish I'd got the airbag deactivation on mine when I got it. I hadn't thought at the time of the fact that that without it I can rule out selling to people with babies.

I'm not sure that many people with babies (and corresponding luggage) would be considering a Fabia anyway!

Chris

sometimes I think I should have got side airbags as come selling the car they may be put off by the lack of safety equipment.

We've got rain sensing wipers on our other car

Just thought I'd mention that :D

I would definetely go for it if it was an option on the furby, but it's not

same here, I find the control to change wipe intervals manually more usefull in the Fabia than having autowipers. Most time it can take ages for it wipe. Soemtimes say to myself "wipe now, please I can't see the road"

Oh yeah, an option that isn't worth considering is the stutter

I had auto wipers on my previous car and they worked really well. Also had auto headlights which were very good too.

The only Furby option I'd go for is cruise.

Auto lights should be fitted as law!! marvelous and ingenious but simple.

I do like having to turn a switch to turn on my

Depends on your budget really:

Cheaper additions:

Cruise is great and a bargain at £125.

Boot protector (the £20ish one is fine).

Headlight protectors.

Expensive:

Leather- The seat cover colour and durability is probably one of the biggest annoyances on the Furby vRS steep at £1300 when you can get it done for under £800 by Seat Surgoens (they do the door cards too). Definately one my to do list.

new one is out at the end of the year/beginning of next year so it might be worth hanging on and buying that instead

I got mine with no options other then metallic paint.

If I was to buy again I would go for cruise control most definitely as its not too expensive, although it can be retro fitted.

ESP would be worth a look too and I would get that over xenons.

Airbag deactivation is probably worthwhile for baby seats in front and is cheap. Try and get the dealer to throw that in for nowt.

IMO the rest are not worth bothering with.

Sunroof for better ventilation adds weight to the car and you might aswell go nuts and turn your aircon on instead.

3rd headrest gets in the way and you'll rarely have 3 people sat in the back.

leather is cheaper elsewhere.
