The New

Sometimes there is not a comfortable road on the way to the final destination, but the new

We had some pics at work,it looks very much like the Audi Offroad which is not a bad thing to follow.Off to Czech next week for my jollies so i will have a sniff around MB to see if there is any stuff on it along with the new Ferbie.

That looks absolutely bang on for what I use a car for. Mainly driving on road and sometimes mild off road, but nothing really close to Landy territory. They'd sell bucket loads to Land Agents, Foresters, Farmers and their wifes, etc.

Any news on whether it'll come here?

And if so how much should I start saving up?

Niall

 I might well be tempted if the price is right and the economy is OK, it would be great for towing my caravan off wet grass etc. ;)

Damm, I have a guy at work who's Mondeo is up for renewal in Jan and he wanted one of these, looks like we will miss the opportunity :(

Great looking car, and yes it will be coming to the UK. Possibly towards the end of the year - Skoda need to launch the Roomster in October before the Scout.

The 2.0 TDi 4x4 is on the Skoda web site now, could he do without the plastic wheel arch extensions? :D

Rover 200 Streetwise anyone?

Hardly, if it was based on the FWD 1.6 I would agree. The scout would be a contender for the more budget conscious buyers of the Audi All Road and smaller Vovo XC series.

Did you find out any more details when you went over there?

Good to see the Scout on the UK site at last:

koda UK - The New Octavia Scout

I also note that the Skoda UK website lists an Octavia 2.0 TDI 4x4 Estate despite the categorical denials I had from Skoda UK marketing that there were any plans to add a 2.0 TDI to the 4x4 lineup.

Trying to shift some 1.9 TDI 4x4 stock by lying to punters? Shame on you Skoda UK ;)

This car looks very interesting, I'm looking forward to seeing a roadtest but can't find a single review on-line.

Has anyone seen one?

Received a small brochure about the entire range from Parks of Hamilton today which had a page on the Scout and saying it would be in the showrooms in the Spring.

Can't afford one just now but would be interested to find out if I could transfer the springs from one and raise my 4X4 that way or whether I'll just have to buy custom made springs?

Regards,

Steve

be in the showrooms in the Spring.

Had a chat with dealer about the scout last time I was down there and they said it would be released some time in March .

But yea can't wait to see one in the flesh and find out what spec they're gonna have (standard and options). Then all I have to do is win the lottery between now and March :)

According to the Top Gear website "Prices start at £17,585 for the petrol and £19,940 for the diesel"
