With possible leaking brake fluid?? Are you losing your marbles lad. Stay at home and stay alive!!

Is the fluid level low??

Have you had a look for any leaks?

I'd be wary of the track work to be honest mate.

Common sense really, don't drive it! Have a check of the brake lines and connections and see if you can find the leak. ;)

Will it be leaking all the time or will I have to turn her on a pump the brakes ir sommit?

Maybe if I top her up to the max with dot 40 ?:o:P

:(

You will probably see signs of leakage if it's an external leak.

It probably won't leak without you pressing the pedal but considering you topped it up the other day you may be able to find a 'wet' pipe or connection.

I believe my Fabia needed a new seal on one of the calipers as one side was perished. I'm sure one of the mechanics on the board can translate that for me ;)

I need one of those....

Two seals on the calipers, internal and then the boot, sold as a kit for around £14. Also may need a piston if it's badly scored and I don't think they sell them seperately so that would be new caliper.

If it is a piston seal it will probably be harder to spot without taking the wheels off. How old is the car?

I think the run offs at Silverstone are pretty large - go for it!:D *

* this statement will not hold up in a court of law

So you are out of warranty then.

Before panicking and to clear things up - go and check the level!!

Yes and the I have checked it. Its gone down again :(

Its such a shame... I was looking froward to hearing about your 2.0 Vs. Eddy, Des, Bengie and Jon at TRAX :(

Is it going down without driving the car? If it is, then hopefully there's a puddle on the ground somewhere :)

Where are you based, Thirdplace ? A friendly Briskodian works in Thame and will be able to sort you out ;)

If you are keen to get sorted before Trax you are going to need to have a phone round and find a dealer or independant that can fit you in then.

You will need to do it sooner rather than later so that they can get the parts and I know from previous experiance that the seals are not normally kept 'on the shelf' at the dealers. A top tip though is to identify the parts you need and buy from VW who have an overnight parts service rather than Skoda's two day.

Assuming is was a seal you'd need to budget for new seal kit and new pads in case they've been contaminated.

However this is all hearsay until you find the leak.

If the clutch shares the same fluid then you will also need to check the clutch actuator too.
