P****d off with this bag of ****. GOT MORE RATTLES THAN MOTHERCARE.

This seems to be a very common problem with the new RS. On my RS, I have traced it to the passenger side rear seat clip. I have had several people in the back to try and source the rattle, and all were in agreement. I drove around with the seats folded down and the car was rattle free.

I then wedged a piece of cardboard into the vertical section of the seat clip with the seats in there closed position... Still Rattled. I then wedged the cardboard into the piece that you squeeze to release the clip..... THIS HAS CURED THE PROBLEM

I explained to my local dealer about the problem and how I sourced the noise. They have in turn agreed to replace the seat clip under warranty... I should have the new clip by next Monday. I was feeling as **** as you were about car, BUT trust me, when you get the car back rattle free the drive will make up for the **** feelings you have now. Hope this helps:thumbup:

Does this information filter back to Skoda (UK)? Maybe not if you are in Ireland. I know Gaff has the same problem so hopefully this will be a cure for him. let us fellow sufferers know how you get on.

Seems the vRS that What Car? magazine have on test suffered the same rattle.

Seems it was sorted very quickly and the car still has a five star rating.They are very pleased with it.Hope you sort it.Calmly:) .

Why would if affect the vRS but not be obvious in other models?

I doubt it, I have been waiting to hear from dealer when someone from distributors is going to have a look at mine and have heard nowt....that was about 6 weeks ago, to be honest I expect the service to be a little better than that . But in the next week or so I WILL get it sorted as I'm getting ****ed off with it.

Its a bit annoying when your told you won't hear it with the radio on !!!!
