2.0 TFSi Turbo Diverter Valve

Featured Replies

Some people have reported issues with engine cut out at higher RPM's when running higher than normal boost. The guys in the US are getting a bit excited about a revised Valve, wondered it it might help those with the issue's -

Interesting.

No it won't help. Its the weak spring which can't handle the extra boost. Im experiencing it myself.

I didnt think there is a spring in it. I though is was an electonic solenoid (electro magnetic coil and windings).

indeed there is!

I guess the solenoid must pull against the spring then and then release it for the spring to close it.

Which one do we have fitted Stu?.

C's I think.

C's I think.

If that's the case, when did this modification come out as my car was registered in November last year

Isn't this the part that Forge are looking at making an uprated version of?. IIRC they have one on test at the moment but it's early days so who knows when it will be released.

You have B's, I now have a C. It made no difference. :(

I'm just working from memory but I'm sure I recall the red rings on the DV's which indicate C's.

As Dave said , we tried one on his , but it made no difference.

Dave did alot of work to find one and travelled miles , but still no...

Sorry
