ST wannabe :thumbdwn:

But... i bet i know which is now the better of the two :D

Shame as it's probably 4 wheel (I can't) drive.

.........but I like the colour and the car.

I'll take one :D (but in black not that horrible orange though)

This got a bit of a pasting by one of the motoring journalists recently!. I believe that the new S3 has a modified version of the 2.0T FSI engine which was described as harsh and unrefined. He concluded by suggesting that you would be better off buying a Sport or S-Line with the 3.2 lump.

I think it looks better in White:

And the flat bottom Lambo-style wheel is a must really:

Lots more info here.

A VW floorpan?! Where did you get that from? And yes, the Volvo lumps were jointly developed with Ford ;)

while the dimensions are different, the lower grill and foglight area at the front look pretty similar, and the back end looks pretty similar too despite the rear lights being way different. it's probably more reminisent of the ST than it is the same

The Mk 2, codenamed C307, uses the Ford C1 platform which is shared with the Volvo S40, V50 and C70, Mazda3 and Focus C-MAX.

Fantastic looking car. But would only get it in White. I've really took a fancy to white cars lately.

It looks heavy, and ugly. The silver one is the only one that comes close to looking nice, imho. :thumbdwn:

Orange? No no no no no no no no no no no no no no!!!!!!!!

And the flat bottom Lambo-style wheel is a must really:

What does that do, exactly, apart from looking a bit like an Allegro?

Four pot... yechhhh.... why hasnt it got the 3.2 v6 in it. At least the ST has 5 cylinders...

I'd rather have a Golf R32.

RBW.

What does that do, exactly, apart from looking a bit like an Allegro?

Stops you from clouting your knees when you turn the steering wheel.

Stops you from clouting your knees when you turn the steering wheel.

Isn't it to stop you from clouting your knees when you get in and out of the car? as when you turn the wheel to either side, the bottom corners will become closer to your knees.

Thank you! My point exactly :D

You can't use it to keep the steering wheel lower because as soon as you turn the wheel the sharp corner at the end of the straight bit will be digging into your thigh...
