Looking at replacing the standard exhaust with either Blueflame or Milltech.

Have priced both up Blueflame is around £225/£500 Milltech £280/£560 catback/full turbo back for each system.

Can people post there reviews of which to go for and whether to go for Milltech with or without front silencer.

Have people fitted these without a remap and what benefit have they noticed?

Defo; go for the Milltek, would strongly reccomend the straight through mid section and with a race (100cel) cat its still not that noisey....classy i would say:D

Have found a supplier on ebay who is the cheapest i've seen.

Have peope got 2.5" or 3" downpipes/cat fitted?

I've just had a pipe werx system fitted to mine. 3" all the way from the cat back!! No complaints:thumbup: , cost me 450 for a proper hand made system...!!

Wouldnt be junction 26 by any chance would it :p

most go for 2.5" as some say the 3" is too big and could damage oil seals but i personally think that the 3" would be fine

Have just put Blue flame on mine (no remap) 2.5 dp, 100 cel cat and it runs like a dog......

Going to jabba today to see if they can sort it.

Oh and the back box has just started rattling (3 weeks old....)

Hope you get it sorted mate.

The 3" downpipe is great if you are going big turbo , but if not stick to the 2.5" downpipe with cat

We do the Milltek`s cheaper so have a look at this Awesome - Milltek Exhausts - Skoda

Hope that helps

Sarah was going to have a word with you over prices.

How much are yours and how much for fitting.

Cheers

Hi Jay

The 2.5" cat is £358.20 + VAT

The cat back system resonated (quieter one) £255.15 + VAT

The cat back system non resonated (noisier one) £243.82 + VAT

Fitting of the cat back is £45.00 + VAT

Fitting of the sports cat and system would be £90.00 + VAT

Am glad you was going to have a word with me ;)

Hope your well mate

Sarah

Voted for BlueFlame here, to my mind its the best VFM system out there. Lots of other vRS owners are running their systems without problems.

Jay, should have my b/f one back on the new car very shortly, can pop over some time to demo it if you want.

I've voted Blue Flame. Although my backbox also developed a rattle about 6 months after getting it fitted but it cleared up after time, apparently the baffles come loose.

I've got a blueflame sytem from the turbo back with a 100CEL cat. The car has not been remapped yet but I did notice the turbo spools up a lot quicker now, However, the system was too quiet, even though it didn't have a centre box! So I removed the back box and got powerflow to make a smaller back box..and now it sounds like a proper sports exhaust!!

I tried to vote for Supersprint but it's not an option :mad:

I've one with a Milltek downpipe/cat. Looks and sounds good :thumbup::thumbup:

  • 2 weeks later...

Supersprint racing mid and rear with a Miltec frt pipe and cat for me as a whole load better build quality (its not all about big noise and a tail pipe design) anyone can make exhausts but only the best can make it work well .

Check Jabba/Star performance, JBS, ect they only fit the best systems

So stick with Miltec/ jetex/ ansa/Supersprint ect

With the filter and t/pipe and Supersprint/Miltec should give about 20hp
