Well everyone,

Here's a picture of my new toy, i pick it up on Friday all being well.

Only had a 10 mile test drive in it but its so much fun.

Can't wait to get some miles under my belt this weekend.

Nice one. :)

They're awesome drivers cars, a mate at work has one (albeit a standard 182 but still gives me some idea!).

It looks nice, like all the other Clio's.............

Should of got the DC5 :(

Sorry mate, I am sure it's a cracking drive and I haven't checked on your other thread so apol's if you've stated on there why you didn't get the '5

Hope she serves you well!

What's the mileage?

Nice choice mate and apparently they are a totally different animal compared to the 182's?

Agree with Walkie that the DC5 would have been my choice but still a nice motor none the less

1 owner 10K miles.

I didn't go for the DC5 for many reasons.

Mainly getting an older car with more miles and it being an import aswell.

And i also decided that i can get a DC5 next!!!!!

She looks nice alex, how do her vital statistics add up then mate?

Nice. Great drivers cars those wee Renaults.

Like it in red too!

Good choice fella.

Looks a nice car , I like that shape of Clio much more than the new one.

Going to be cheaper to run than the Boxster for starters!!!!

Pert and and bit of a handful in a very fun way!!!!!

Paid £11.5 for it, including the 12K mile service which was done today.

All good tyres and i have a big smile.

Will write a further report once i've got it and got some miles under my belt and a trackday.

Might even head over to the Ring in 2 weeks time for a couple of nights.

Hows your car?

What kinna engines do the 172/182/237 ect engines have and how many different powered "cups" are there? are there? Is the suspention standard? ;)

Lay it on me... :D

As far as i know all the engines are 2 litre 16 valves.

A cup version for every Clio 172/182.

Trophy has fully adjustable SACH's supension,Recaro seats different wheels and only came in one colour and only 500 were made for the UK.

Don't know much more other than it put a big smile on my face on the test drive!!!

I had a normal 182 for 4 days when the Boxster was at the dealers and i had so much fun in it,i absolutely loved it.

This was the reason i decided the get the last and from all accounts the best incarnation of the RenaultSport Clio.

I wish you would speak English you plank.

You always ruin a good thread by your text speak replies.

You seem like a likeable young chap who is reasonably intelligent, and knowledgeable, but you spoil yourself...

I appreciate your enthusiasm, and don't take offence, but, show some consideration for us old buggers.....:D

^ :D hehe

This place has more non-Skoda drivers by the day, but it is a testament to the camaraderie and community spirit of Briskoda that people stay around...

Good choice of car, that little Clio. I am sure it will be a lot of fun.

I still have a Skoda, still got my Octavia vRS,Sept 2003 car currently on 95K miles which is my everyday car.

The Clio is my fun/weekend car.

How does it compare to the Octavia ?

Must feel pretty quick if it makes you smile

wow I am soo jealous, I would have had one on my drive if I hadn't had one before. (1.2 16v). I think I may buy one as a second car at one point along the line, or even get a 197....If only I could work from home.

How much fun have you had in it? i'm sure there is more to come

LMAO at Mr Grumpy.

I is laffin' at you innit

very nice :) saw a 197 in traffic on the way home the other day, it looked really...racey(?)

Great choice!

My jaws were aching after grinning so much when I took a Trophy for a test drive.

It's difficult to compare it to the Octavia really, they're quite different. The Clio's power was instant being N/A, and it felt like you could take any corner at any speed, it just stuck to road. The Recaro's wrap around you perfectly too. Can totally understand why EVO rate it so highly.

I bought the Octavia in the end, which I'm pleased to bits with, but if I could choose another car to join the Octy on the driveway, it would have to be the Trophy.

Enjoy it! :D

the trophy has awesome dampers that cost in excess of £1000.00. apparently no other hot hatch handles as good full stop, my brothers old 172 cup on gaz coilovers was insane (literally) could carry 20 mph more round most corners - and no im not joking.
