Rear foglight(s)?

Featured Replies

Should a Mk 1 Octavia Vrs have one or two rear foglights?

I noticed this morning that mine only illuminates one rear lamp (drivers side). Is the other one duff, or is there only supposed to be one light?

Strangely I noticed the same on my vRS only last week. Telephoned local dealer and told that it should only have one on the drivers side. The passenger side is not wired up, even though it has a double filament bulb in it the same as the other. Once its out of warranty going to look at ways of wiring up both sides!!

I belive that octy's/ Furbies only have one, Drives side but every thing is there to wire up the passenger side, I think there is a "How To......." some where. Have a search............Andy

Thanks Gents.

Indeed, had I been ar$ed to do a Search, I could have discovered that this is a point that's been raised several times before

I think, taking into account the discussion on the subject, that I will leave it with the standard setup. :)

Surely all you need to do is to get some European rear light clusters? I assume on left hand drive cars the drivers side (our passenger side) fog light is lit.

EDIT:-

Just found the guide to doing it :o I'll shut up now.

I think I know what I'm going to be doing over the next few days.:D

Where did you find it i found a link but the thread wasn't there.

I found it in the guides section, page 3 I think it was.

i wonder if the the fog light is on the other side on left hand drive cars??? it might be possible to make them both come on anyway.... you would only need a single wire... in fact it's probably wired up allready anyway
