Would 'Electrical Contact lubricant' (the type you use on radio control cars with manual speed controllers) be the same stuff?

Also if you 'packed' a connector with the stuff wouldn't that result in a short circuit?

no as the stuff conducts really well over a very short distance but not over anything over 1mm or something.
