If you feel along the top of the rear seat in the middle where the headrest would be you'll notice the holes are there under the seat cover..... You just cut the seat cover then put the headrest inserts into the holes then the headrest fits into the inserts like the normal ones.

Thanks for that but this might be a silly question but what stops the inserts from coming back out the holes when you try to raise the headrest:confused:

They have a "click lock" fitting.

Having a small rear centre headrest on my Golf I as I do, if this is the type of VAG headrest you are after (and it might not be) keep in mind will you be able to get a cover for it to match your Fabia trim as the Fabia rear centre rest seems about half the height ?

I've seen a few VAG cars that have the same style centre headrest as the Fabia..... My problem is trying to get one that's for sale..... Then just buy the cover from the dealer and replace so as to match the existing seats etc....... To be honest i'm gonna give it another few months then just give it up as a bad job i think...... I'm wanting to do a few more mods that will definately take priority over this one anyway so as soon as it comes to getting them done this one will probably be dropped from the list.

Yeah, it does seem to be turning into a bit of a "wild goose chase" for you by the sounds of it, can't say I blame you though ! :(
