New Project Car! ideas wanted??

Featured Replies

Felicia sounds like a great idea.

I would think if you fancied a really cheap scarey car a Citroen AX or BX could be an excellent Q car as they are made of plastic so weigh nothing. You can put a huge engine in the BX as even the 2.0's and 1.9XUDT had bags of room around them, but then you have the suspension and pump to run.

AX with a roll cage and a turboed engine :D

If you want to stay VAG i really thing the felicia would be quite cool, but a 1.8T scirocco would scare the **** out of most other drivers . That plus I think it really looks the part too :)

AX's are tiny and the engine bay's tiny-er. It's certainly possible to turbo them but I think they work better with more controllable power. Though discussions about MINI s/cs ended with the s/cs are too big.

Thinking of a bigger engine bay, Scirocco, Corrado, Honda Civic... Tighter engine bay... Mk1/2 Toyota MR2... Erm.. 1.8T Subaru Justy... etc.

i'm not really thinking turbo at the moment, i dont like them really! especially not on modified cars! in realtion to naturally aspirated cars there's two distinct schools of thought on this.....

1.) you do a all-out throttle bodied tarmac-tearer from a small (1600cc?) engine.

2.) you do stealthy, with plenty of power(2000cc+)
