Other half has bought me a driving experience pack at Thruxton and I'm going tomorrow...I get to drive several cars round and end up in a Ferrari 360!!

Really looking forward to it.

Chap at work and a friend of mine have done the Thruxton day although I think there ones were Ferrari 355's. Excellent day by all accounts and I'm sure you'll have a fantastic day

355 round Knockhill in May this year - in the wet (what could possibly go wrong?!)

Best bit? Down the back straight after a few laps, the instructor saying, 'take it up to 7000 (rpm) this time'...........Oh, all right then !!!

355 at Thruxton about 7 years ago, top day out, the thing that sticks out for me are the brakes, 120 - 20 in about 50 yds instructor ses, "think we braked a little early" as i nearly parked it in the middle of the track 50 yds from entrance to the final S into the home straight

I did a Ferrari driving day at Loughborough - Prestwold Hall (old airfield where they trained WW2 bomber pilots supposedly).

I got to do driving test in a Mk2 Golf (tyre on the bonnet, football in the tyre - have to drive round course without losing the ball).

4x4 driving.

Then 5 laps in a 328 followed by 5 in a 360 BUT one of the 2 360s they run had snapped it's cambelt so I got to drive a Lambo Diablo SV instead :D

I did the 911 turbo experience at thruxton last year, absolutely amazing!

Started off in a RX8, then a merc clk, then the porsche. Absolutely stunning car, couldnt stop grinning. Got to drive an older formula renault aswell which was cool but a real swine to change gear!

I would recommend getting the in car dvd package aswell! Also take the fast passenger lap aswell. They were using a tuned MG ZS on slicks when i was there but not sure if they've still got that or something else.

I got my dad one of these and to be honest he found the RS4 was more impressive than the 355. He also enjoyed the more fun driving games, like, handbrake turns, precision driving against the clock, slaloms and the chauffered rally ride by a complete nutter. All good stuff!

My uncle got me one a couple of birthdays ago whilst I was visiting him in the states. Out there you get to drive a whole selection of exotics for $450. It was a full day of driving madness, well cool

WOW!!!! Is all I can say. One major day out and complete grin factor all over!!!

Three laps round the circuit in a Mazda RX8 with the instructor to get used to the bends etc. Then I do three laps.

Four laps in the 355 which didnt over impress me but was still good. Then five laps in a single seater formula Renault.

Finally a single fast lap with an instructor in the RX8. He managed to get up to 132mph...his best all day..was really good:D

The first instructor..Ollie said he had taken a vRS Octy round the track and bought one!!!...just goes to show eh!!

I did this in a V6 Vectra a Donington- not quite the same but an awesome experience.

Next Wednesday i GET PAID to spend a day at Millbrook driving various Porsche's ! My job sucks or what ?????

On another subject my family have bought me a military driving course for my birthday where i get to drive a tank,6x6 Stalwart and a 4x4 truck :eek:

If you are looking to do one of these have a look at Trackdays.co.uk - they list loads of Ferrari driving days

They do lots of 'versus' experiences like 'Ferrari v Lamborghini' so you get to drive and compare 2 supercars - if you have the £££ to can drive up to 5 in one day! madness...
