was meant to collect mine today but bloody insurance never came in the post (sent on Monday first class and Wednesday again first class...apparently), ended up travelling 70miles to pick up the insurance to make sure i'll deffo get the car on Monday.

Not happy, meant to be great weather this weekend, would've been ideal for a runaround.

I've seen some Skoda dealers offer 7days free insurance. Too late now though!

Understandably frustrating, but all niggly little things that should be sorted quickly and easily by your dealer.

My wife's is delivered on Friday :D

ordered in April... luckily the broker was cheap ;)

Oh, and I saw my first one 'in the flesh' this morning in Espom/Ewell

I don't think you'd succesfully reject a car on such trivialities just yet. The fuel cap one is probably the age old favourite which can be fixed easily yourself. Try the search, I've even posted pictures of the fix for it.

After getting my order in on Saturday, I've been called today to say that there is one as part of my dealer's allocation sitting and waiting at the docks up in Grimsby or wherever. Now we've just got to get it down here, so if miracles happen that may be the end of this week, or perhaps early next. I guess late next week might be more sensible.

As a little surprise, that one has turned out to be the last one that my dealer can get their hands on. If they get any more orders they've said they will have to beg / borrow / steal from other dealers. They were under the impression that they had another couple of cars to be allocated.

Just put a deposit down on mine (#531) and will be picking it up on Saturday morning...can't wait to get it out on the road (currently driving a 1.2 Fiat Punto MK I).

Are there any plans to have a meeting of all SE owners / cars? It would be good to get a load of them together and take them for a spin.

Perhaps something we could think about for the summer once they've all been sold???

These things are still about? i thought they had all already gone.

Not quite.

It's getting that way at some dealers though.

Time for a deal if you're interested.

I've suggested a Scottish SE get together but have only had a small response.

I doubt there will be any left by the time i have saved up enough deposit.

Might have to settle for a standard VRs. Although the only thing im really interested in is those leather seats :)

So, I've been driving my girlfriend's vRS for a couple of years now, and her parents bought number 21 a couple of months back.

I decided a while back that I wanted one. Went today to Barker's in Hull and was offered 2,000 for my 98 1.9TDI golf and they wouldn't budge at all....The guy was okay, admitted there was a small fault with it, but said "Good Luck getting 2,300 for your car!"

We went to Pulleyn's in York and I was offered 2,740:) So I am meant to be picking mine up on Tuesday of next week. 60 mile round trip to save 740 quid. I can't wait!

How sh1te has the allocation of these cars been?

I ordered mine at the end of March and paid my dealer the deposit. I was provisionally given the end of April as the expected delivery date.

My company sold my previous company car ready for the vRS to arrive.........deafening silence from the dealer.

Apparently I am 6th in the queue out of the 8 cars they'd been allocated.

For two months they kept being told by Skoda UK I'd have to wait a bit longer. Finally, I rang Head Office and had a call back today from Skoda Customer Service (what service?) to say my dealer won't be getting the last two cars!!!

So my order is cancelled and I get my deposit back but no vRS SE :o(

Not the sort of birthday surprise I was hoping to receive this weekend...

Am now frantically ringing round to see who has stock available. One or two good leads on this forum, that I am following up.

The forum's been far more informative that Skoda. Just imagine how great their company could be if it was run by Briskoda members!!!

Barkers in Hull definately had one on Wednesday 01482 802000

Pulleyn's in York should have some left as they had a good allocation (15 in total I think) 01904 690742

Yep - Sounds like a good idea! I've now done 5000 miles having had mine since the end of April and am wondering where all the other specials are - have not actually seen another single one yet!!

Yep - Sounds like a good idea! Having had mine since end of April and driven over 5000 miles already, have yet to see another special!!

I've only seen two more going around manchester - one was at the dealership and another was on regent road near my work.

5k - christ! I got mine in may and only have 1.6k on it :D

I must be getting on to 3k on mine, since start of April (haven't driven it all week, as have been away on business - looking forward to driving it home from the airport.)

I was called last monday to let me know that mine has arrived and I've arranged to collect next Tuesday.

I've caught a glimpse of it so we'll just have to wait and see!

my dad picked his up two days ago, nice cars but i prefered his octy 2 vrs in the same colour.
