Mate of mine has a plain white one, facelift, nil stripes. Looks really well, handles really well, but no where near as quick or as much fun as a mapped and fettled Furby.

I concur, my mate has just spent muchos cashos on one and it's not even in the same league as my totally standard, unmodified and not tweeked Fabia ;)

They are nice inside though.

IS that it?

Good find that man!

Isn't that a really old picture, sure I saw that months ago.

Special edition vRS

Quota : two per dealer

So I was told today, both now prov. sold, where I called today :-)

I didn't know Skoda had 500 dealers in UK! Surely got to be more like 4-5 per dealer?

Looks too much like a Ford Focus RS for my liking:thumbdwn:

If it looked like an RS Focus surely thats a good thing? Thats THE best looking hatchback of all time imho

Two in stock per dealer, the rest I presume will be placed orders, first come first served from all dealers within Skoda UK.

jees...this site was my escape from cruiseblackpool!

hi fran!

Having read the thread from start to finish I'm now very confused. Perhaps someone can enlighten me.

Is the current vRS really to be produced until 2008, I understood production of the hatch stops at the end of this year, they surely won't keep making just one model of the old shape will they ?

Will the 'run off' vRS have the WRC style body kit as per picture along with leather and the blue paint ?

It is often the case that manufacturers keep making just one model of the old shape (see Focus RS among others)

As for the rest of what has been said. It's more a case of what people would like to see as oposed to gospel.

It will be a hovercraft, have a dump valve, come in orange with racing stripes and, oh yeah, it'll be a 8ltr 1000bhp electric engine powering the fan.

It will be 75p more expensive than the standard model.

HTH.

To my knowledge; Fabia vRS available to Autumn/late 2007 as per current spec but with a run-out 'Limited Edition' said to be 1000 cars in Race Blue (from the Octavia vRS) and possibly with Leather. I doubt you will get the WRC bodykit -pity.

Anyone else offer any better suggestion? ;)

PS> I think Sprint Yellow will be the colour to have though.

I would like to see Skoda show some real bottle and do a faithful copy of the WRC car i.e. body mods, excluding the big rear wing, plus white colour scheme with green and red colour flashes.

Combined with 17" wheels, lower profile tyres and a hotted (chipped) engine, larger brakes, climate control and leather and this would be a truly great way for the Mk1 Fabia vRS to exit the stage.

Such a run off model would be without a sell out on announcement and certainly generate demand for the car's successor in the same way that the run off Mini Cooper S has done for the new Mini.

I agree. If the Octavia range can get a WRC edition, why not the Fabia?

BTW, my dealer seemed to think the new limited edition is the Skoda "Paris". If you look on the concept cars page on the SUK website you'll find it. I'm not so sure myself and think he's been mislead. Plus he said it was only available as an estate :thumbdwn:

noting wrong with the estate!:P

It was only my thoughts and I remembered someone had posted a pic a while ago of blue car + WRC kit.

I'm sure it will be exactly as per what people have said.Simply a blue Fabia vRS with leather.Nothing faster/lower/wider/more exciting or better looking......just a blue car:(

I agree with the post re doing the same as what they did with the Octavia 100 specials....too late though

How about race blue, with leather, and all options fitted, including rear electric windows.

Shouldn't be too hard with all the spares left over going onto a totally new Fabia.

Can anyone remember the build time on the vRS ? if the rumours are right on delivery, are they being built right now for here in the UK

Skoda website has 'Sprint Yellow' now (not Lemon) for the Fabia vRS; as used on the Octavia vRS.

Too many blue cars around (and black, and silver, and grey etc etc) !!

Sprint yellow with black leather will be good; anthracite wheels?

West End Skoda in Broxburn currently have in their showroom...

a Fabia vRS 'Dark' special edition (their own) which is Sprint Yellow, wheels have been redone anthracite, and it has a full black leather retrim.

The rear windows have been tinted, and it has aftermarket rear lights in black (the only bit i'm not taken with).

I'm sure it was an 06 and sitting at

Broxburn is near Edinburgh mate. Sounds a cracking car, may have to swing past to have a look...
