"Comfort Feature"

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Was playing about with the car earlier, and noticed that when you open it with the key and hold the key - as if you were to make all the windows go down, they dont.

The auto windo thing works with then key when you do it by pressing the buttons, but not with the key in the lock.

Does anyone know if VW have disabled this feature on the later models?

I am hoping that this is the case as it would give me some peace of mind. My former Superb did it when the key was in the lock on the door, and I know this is a 'feature' that can aid in someone breaking into the car.

Whats the ideas and views of you all?

Regards

SJ

I used to work for VW and i remember the guys in the workshop saying that you can get your remotes programmed to do differnet things, so maybe that option has been turned off. I can open and close all of my windows with the remote which i think is cool, not much use in the winter though!

how could it help thievs?
