My Mk1 vRS has a buzzing noise coming from the passenger side headlamp. Noticed this today whilst changing the front foglamp bulbs, and turning the ignition to position I to check they were working.

Any ideas what this could be ? I assume there is a motorised levelling system in there somewhere...do these fail ?

Yep the motors do fail. If the position switch on the dash is at 0 then the noise should dissapear. Classic symptons are the light nodding up and down on one side, usually the N/S.
