Any pics of just the flaps for now Tony?

Each to there own m8, I am not really bothered if they are pretty or not, they are there to protect the paintwork and they are going to do that. :)

If it would stop ****ing rain I would go and fit them :D :D

I thought you only got these on Impreza's

Not for me I'm afraid.

I've only ever had mud flaps on one car before and I have never, as far as I am aware, had any paintwork damage...

I'm sorry but I'd rather take the risk than have those on mine.

I'm not against mudflaps, in fact I probably will put standard ones on soon.

Ok folks, better pictures to come over the weekend, I have just finished fitting them and I realise they won't be everyones cup of tea, but I don't find them offensive in the slightest.

A couple of minor niggles will need adressing before production, but I will sort these with Ian at Performance Creations asap.

Once again, appologies for the picture quality, just some very quick snaps as I was losing the light.

They're growing on me mate but not quite enough to get them for mine

I quite like the look of them, could be tempted, depending on price.

Well if they look like that on the Fabia then I'm going to snap up my free set!

Do you like them fluff?

I think they look stunning and look very purposeful without being over the top. Infact I would go as far to say that they fit in better than oem ones due to their colour

Those mudflaps look really nice IMO. They are a bit bright though in comparison to the car's color. From what I understand,it's the first set created for and installed on an Octavia II RS. On their site (http://www.performancecreations.co.uk/index.php), mudflaps for the RS are not even listed. Hopefully, Fluffmeister will help them overcome any obstacles so as a finished product to be released. Good mod.

The jury is out for me. Its no rally car, just cheapens the look IMO.

I quite like them to be honest but I can see why others would not, the logo's whilst being a good match for the vRS logo are OTT imho so they will be coming off and I will maybe look for some subtle skoda badges. Performance creations cut their own vinyl so maybe get Ian to make a set up.

They don't look bad in the flesh, I don't like the standard 10mm bolts that come with the kit and will be replacing them for button headed alloy hex bolts (or titanium if I have enough left from the bike bits) this weekend.

It's certainly no rally car agreed 100%, but the Mk2 vRS sits so high on the standard suspension, even with 18's that the flaps don't look out of place. If the car was lowered then I think they would look a bit daft.

So in summary, easy to fit, will help keep it clean, looks are a matter of taste and will maybe take a little getting used to, and on the looks side ;) ........cheapens the look, fek me m8, it says Skoda on the boot, I think a set of mud flaps are the least of my worries :D :D

Haha, just my opinion chief!

LMFAO

LMFAO

Me too.

I'm a bit undecided how they look perhaps some small Skoda Motorsport stickers rather that the vRS logo would be better. Anyway I should see them in the flesh next week so I can make my mind up then.

Not often that you see mudflaps colour coded to the car - they look good and certainly ought to do the job; BUT I must have missed something, WHY do we need 'rally' mudflaps? What is wrong with the OE Skoda accessory ones? Don't they fit the vRS Octys?

I'm curious!

BTW, Fluffmeister - are your wheels the 17" or 18" Pegasus? Also which tyres do you have and what is the road roar/tyre noise like? (I've driven the vRS with 18s and Continental Contact Sports and the tyre noise was almost too much).

Thea reason why this all started is that I wanted some decent mudflaps for my Fabia VRS and the standard ones don't fit on the rears plus the tyres on the VRS Fabia stick out from the arches making the standard pointless as they don't stop water and mud splatter.

I primarily went to performance creations to get Fabia VRS ones and then had an idea deciding that it would be best to do both the octavia VRS and Fabia VRS.

Hope fully these mudflaps will help my car stay cleaner on the sides longer and stop stone chips.

I would not say they were Rally mud flaps ....just ones that work properly.

More pictures, post detailing session of the rallyflaps on the octy, I think they look much better without the logos

clicky

Yeoww! Those cars are Clean !!!!!!!

Rally mudflaps? Much better without the logo; It gives them a cleaner look and makes them appear longer (or perhaps the logos made them look shorter); one or the other? Dare I Say the logos were a bit naff - you have the one on the bootlid and don't need four more.

Any idea how much they will cost once 'in production'?

They look like the Sparco rally flaps that sell for

Well i never thought Skoda drivers were MAXPOWER readers!!!!!

Tell you what, is there any chance of keeping the comments constructive!

I don't give a **** if people like them or not, I am (like Keith for the Fabia) putting myself out, using my own fuel and my car as a testrig to develop something that some people may be interested in.

If you have nothing constructive to say f c u k off and don't post, end of ..........
