Rally Mudflaps for Octavia VRS

Featured Replies

Dear Fluffmeister,

Your efforts are, I'm sure, sincerly appreciated by the majority of Brisk Skoda driving Briskodians (I didn't mean to offend by suggesting the logos were a bit naff, just trying not to be too serious).

I hope they go into production, and they will certainly go on my shopping list for the Octavis vRS I am intending to order soon.

PS> Are your vRS wheels 17" or 18" and what do you think of the ride/tyre noise?

I don't think he was referring to you m8.

Anyhow, once the final product is ready, I'm going for it

It was not aimed at you mr bahnstormer, I should have been a bit clearer and quoted it ;)

Don't worry about **** either, a known **** on this site

I'm not worried about it mate :D especially when his biggest decision of the day is what slippers to wear with which pipe and which brand of pea's to have for dinner ;)

edit..

Just read mr TVR numpties previous posts, nothing positive, no contribution just an awkward wee ****e in most threads he contributes to. Even if people are going to join forums to stir things up, a better effort should be made.

I wonder why he hangs around

im just waiting for bits to start falling off his tvr :D i wonder if that will get posted up

(i like th mudflaps by the way but i dont think theyd suit my L&K, maybe my next will hopefully be a VRS)

FWIW... Mine are 18" and I don't really notice the road noise to be especially bad, but I'm not used to luxury. I think there's more tyre noise than my MK1 vRS on 17s, but then I found there was more when I test drove a 2.0 FSI on either 16s or 17s. Personally, I think the ride is very compliant given it's the "sporty" variant (better than MK1). Nothing like as crashy as my mates new Civic that sits on the same size wheels - mine almost feels soft in comparison. It's a fine compromise for the "practical and exciting" remit and suits the family lifestyle that mine predominantly lives out brilliantly.

Back to the mudflaps, I think I'd like to see a set on my car - be very helpful on my local crud covered lanes. Standard fit jobs on my last car were as good as useless.

Can we keep the personal abuse rule in mind, please, chaps. Ta.

Apologies for that Mr C :o

Same here :)

They look like the Sparco rally flaps that sell for

Quick update for those interested

I am going into PC on Friday so that Ian can see my mods to the front flaps, then he will be tooling up for the production run shortly.

We talked about the logo's and both agree that they look better without the logo, but they can be added on request.

Not sure of prices or lead times as that's nothing to do with me, but the "development" phase is pretty much done with a "speed test" at a GPS indicated ..... well lets say above 1mph to below 163mph and all has stayed in place where it should be.

Driving down to Cardiff on Sunday night, they certainly have prevented most of the crappy snow, rain, salt from spraying up the car and don't look bad without the logo's.

Agreed though, they are marmite, there is now middle ground, you either like them or don't, all I can say is that they do work.

Fluff you are doing a great job keep it up. Your efforts are definitly appreciate by myself and I'm sure others that will purchase some of these in the future.

I am not tempted, Iam not tempted, Iam not tempted........I am tempted................stop it!!!!!!. ;) :P

I have come to the conclusion that black, unlogo-ed flaps would look the biz on my estate. So many things I want to buy for my car. Shame I've got precisely zero to spend on extras :(

Never stopped you before :D

I'll be having a set of these for definate

I think they look very 'Track' when colour keyed in blue. Good effort, mate.

Can these be produced in silver/grey to suit my silver car ?

Definiteley having a set of those (no badges though)

These are for the Mk2 only so they won't fit your MK1 I'm affraid.

Ordered a vRS TDI yesterday with B14 dealer fit 18" wheels. :D They are 8J and wider than the 7.5J Zeniths so I'll DEFINITELY need some RallyFlapz in red to match the car, as the wheels/tyres sit outside the line of the wheelarches by 5mm or so!

I have a few weeks to wait so hopefully the RallyFlapz will be 'in production' by the time I take delivery.

PS> Here's a pic or two of the dealers demo to show the B14s:-

That looks very nice, shame about the lump in the front ;) ;) :D :D

I went up on Friday, the final fit is agreed and tooling up for it should be underway, pic's on the PC website soon and they will be available shortly guys.

Cheers

Tony

Ur, if they sat 5mm outside the wheel arch that would make them illegal - tis defo an MOT failure
