We have a bit of free capacity at the moment so I've been thinking about ahving some parts made for the car. So what is there that would be worth making? A colleague has had some aluminium tubing made up for his Astra Turbo.

We're talking about things that can be turned on a lathe here, so round things that must be straight.

as well as straight round things can you bend them to shape?

what materials can you get your hands on?

apart from ally intercooler pipes like your colleague, how about stainless exhaust? cold air feed to your air filter?

only ideas!!

Sadly we're not set up to bend things - otherwise we'd all have nice stainless exhausts !

I diddnt think there would be anything TBH. The Vauxhall 2.0T pipework is more straight runs than the Octavia :(

I like the idea of aluminium wheels - but that may be considered as "taking the pi55" on the material side

you could make yourself an oversized throttle body...

get an old one from the breakers, open up the bore by a few mm, the machine up a new larger throttle plate.
